A Snow Storm Is Coming

Have you read ‘Let’s Put A Pin In That’?

The women spent the morning in bed; alternating between sex, naps, talking, and eating. To the pair, it was heaven on earth. But like all good things, it came to an end as Dani’s alarm went off.

“Fuck! I gotta go.” The officer mumbled against Paula’s lips.

Paula groaned in protest, grabbing Dani’s face and holding it against hers.

Dani couldn’t help but lean into the woman, groaning as Paula’s tongue entered her mouth and greeted her own. Sitting up, Dani pushed forward, causing the other woman to fall onto her back. Then, grabbing Paula’s hands, Dani pinned them by the other woman’s head. She then dropped her head, burying her face in Paula’s neck, and bit down.

Paula let out a yelp that morphed into a moan as Dani soothed the sensitive skin with her tongue.

“Dad’s gonna kill me if I’m late.” Dani said before getting out of bed.

Paula huffed.

“You sure you don’t need help washing your back?” She asked batting her lashes.

“Don’t tempt me woman!” Dani yelled back.

Paula laughed as Dani turned on the shower.

Rolling over onto her side, Paula reached for her phone just as it dinged with a message from her father.

‘I need you to pick up a shipment of snow for me.’ The message read.

Was he fucking crazy? There was no way in HELL she was getting involved in anything he and Vinny were cooking up. Then, just when she was about to tell him to go fuck himself, she got an idea.

Smirking to herself, she agreed before dropping her phone on the bed and making her way to the bathroom.

“Paula, I don’t have time for games. I really have to go.” Dani said the second the door opened.

Paula rolled her eyes.

“I didn’t come in here to seduce you. I have a proposition for you.” Paula said, jumping up on the counter.

Dani poked her head out of the shower.

“I’m listening.”

“Daddy’s bringing snow to the city.” Paula said.

“Paula it’s July!” Dani said, looking at the other woman as if she’d grown a second head.

Paula rolled her eyes.

“Drugs woman! Uncle Vinny and my father are bringing drugs to the city!” Paula said.

“When?” Dani asked.

Paula pulled out her phone and read over the messages from the group chat.

“Two weeks.” Paula said looking up from her phone.

Dani shook her head and sighed. After hearing the story of Ronnie, she couldn’t believe that Pauly would do such a thing. Was Pauly really that heartless?

“Paula I’m sorry.” Dani said, wanting nothing more than to hug and comfort the woman.

“It is what it is.” Paula said with a shrug.

Hopping off the counter she exited the bathroom, allowing Dani to finish her shower.

Once the officer finished getting ready, she and Paula made their way downstairs and to the living room.

“So what’s the plan for the day?” Dani asked as she pulled her work boots out of the coat closet.

Paula shrugged.

“I don’t know, avoid my family like the plague.” She said with a shrug.

Dani’s heart broke for her; This couldn’t be easy. Paula’s entire family consisted of her father and the men he worked with. After the disappearance of her mother, Pauly and his men were all Paula had. And with the line of work Paula did, she never had time for friends or even acquaintances. Even with the people she was friendly with, she could never actually trust them enough to hang out and have actual conversations; in her line of ‘work’ everyone wanted an upper hand, and getting cozy with the wrong people could cost her her life.

Dani finished tying her shoes before opening her arms for a hug.

“I’ll try and meet up with you for lunch.” She said as Paula wrapped her arms around her.

Paula gave Dani a squeeze before pulling back. After locking up, the women hopped on the elevator and rode it down to the parking garage. Then, after sharing a quick kiss, they hopped into their separate cars and went their separate ways.

So I guess Paula’s a spy now. Do you think Dani’s dad and the other cops are going to question Dani knowledge about the LaVine brother’s activities?

I once told my mom I wanted to be God.... she wasn’t happy about that. I don’t think God was either, cause I got electrocuted a few hours later. Coincidence? I think not. So I gave that up on that dream and decided to go with a much safer career path... Being a writer. I build worlds, put people in those worlds, and most importantly, I tell stories of the LGBTQIA+ community.
